About me
Hi, I’m Quintin a technically minded, hands-on designer with a passion for solving problems through smart, practical design.
From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by how things work and how they can be improved. That curiosity naturally led me to study Industrial Product Design, where I combine creativity with engineering to turn ideas into real, working products.
I’m most at home in the technical side of design: CAD modeling, 3D printing, and iterative prototyping. I believe a product should function perfectly before it looks perfect, and I constantly test and refine my designs until they perform exactly as intended. Tools like SolidWorks and Fusion 360 are where my ideas come to life.
What drives me most is seeing a concept evolve into a finished product and witnessing the reactions when people interact with something I’ve created. My projects often focus on improving functionality, performance, or manufacturing efficiency, whether it’s for my own company SkyQ or through academic work.
Outside of design, I’m passionate about sports. I’ve played football, tennis, and speed skating at a high level, and I now enjoy padel, kickboxing, and golf to stay active and focused.
Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a master’s degree while continuing to grow SkyQ, exploring new ways to merge design, engineering, and entrepreneurship.

Experience
My professional and technical experience can be found in my CV available for download below. It includes my internships, and Jobs that have shaped my skills as a designer.
My skills
CAD Design
Experienced in SolidWorks and Fusion 360 for 3D modeling, simulation, and product development. I use these tools to transform complex ideas into precise, manufacturable designs. My workflow includes topology optimization, generative design, and detailed mechanical modeling .
The skills and technologies that shape my design process
3D Printing
Extensive experience with both resin, FDM 3D and Laser printing for creating prototypes and functional components. I use 3D printing to validate form, fit, and function early in the design process, allowing for rapid iteration and improvement.
Mold Design
Skilled in translating digital designs into physical prototypes using various materials and techniques. From woodworking to forged carbon and TPU, I focus on testing, refining, and validating every design until it performs as intended.
Coding
Hands-on experience with Arduino and basic Python for smart product integration and testing. I use coding to automate systems, control sensors, and prototype intelligent features that bridge hardware and software.
Adobe
Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop for visual communication, branding, and presentation. I use these tools to clearly convey design intent, create compelling visuals, and support product identity.
Microsoft
Skilled in Microsoft Office for structured documentation, project management, and communication. I use these tools to organize workflows, reports, and presentations efficiently throughout the design process.
